Volunteer Roles

Here we list any specific volunteer roles we're looking to fill, but we welcome enquiries from anyone who would like to support SheRACES at any time, using the form below.

Fundraising Coordinator (Volunteer)

About SheRACES

SheRACES is a UK-based non profit (charity conversion pending) advocating globally for equity, safety and inclusivity in endurance and mass participation sports (such as road running, trail running, triathlon and swimming). We work with race directors, industry organisations, brands and athletes to drive systemic change in the way races are designed, promoted and experienced by women.

The Role

We're looking for a volunteer who can spare a couple of hours a week to help us with our fundraising activities. This is mostly to be a point of contact for individuals who are taking on races or challenges to raise money for us as a non-profit organisation. We have ready-made resources and email templates for our fundraisers, but there is scope to craft the role in a way that suits you.

  • Role: Fundraising Coordinator

  • Job Type: Volunteer – this is not a paid role

  • Location: Fully Remote (Flexible global location; availability to attend a monthly call with the SheRACES team around UK time)

  • Commitment: 2-3 hours per week maximum – can be variable per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to individuals who want to find out more about fundraising for SheRACES, onboarding them and getting them started with their fundraising.

  • Sending out regular email updates with useful resources and to check in with progress.

  • Supporting women who sign up for the SheRACES Trail Series with a fundraising place to meet their fundraising targets.

  • Being a main point of contact for fundraisers with any questions.

  • Helping SheRACES meet its annual funding goals.

About You

  • Highly proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Experience working with fundraisers previously is not essential, but being a people person and able to encourage individuals is important.

  • Able to contribute approximately 2-3 hours a week of your time to volunteer for SheRACES – this is not fixed and you can give this time whenever suits you. There are quiet periods when there may be very little that needs doing, and busier times when there may be more input needed.

  • Available to chat to the wider SheRACES team virtually approximately once per month.

What We Offer

  • A flexible, purpose-driven role where you can play an influential part in all that we do at SheRACES.

  • Volunteer perks when available, such as a place at the SheRACES Trail Series or new merchandise

  • Opportunity to grow the role as the organisation and funding expand.

  • Be part of a supportive, mission-led team passionate about improving endurance sport for everyone.
